Joan Jones, a native Angelino, grew up on The Sunset Strip's illustrious music scene. Her first band, Sun 60, released three albums on Sony's Epic Records label, "SUN60", "Only", and "Headjoy", totally amazing songs, music, and singing by Joan Jones!
After splitting with her band SUN60, Joan teamed up with celebrated producer, Nick Didia, (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, REM, Stone Temple Pilots and many more...) to produce her first solo album, "Starlite Criminal", on Disney's Hollywood Records. She has since followed up with Nick Didia making 3 more albums, "Atlanta Sessions", "Velvet Underdog" and "Brown Blonde".
She has ALMOST FINISHED work on her next SMOKING HOT ALBUM FOR release in late 2010 and this one's music, lyrics and singing will burn and sear these new songs into your hearts and your minds they are so delicious and amazing....
And Joan spent the first 6 months of 2009 performing as the opening act on various dates for Big Head Todd and the Monsters on their 2009 Tour of America and also sang with them! Lotta great fun, sharing amazing music with all the very talented artists in Big Head Todd & the Monsters, not to mention all the great people also singing, playing, supporting them and who were on the tour with them..... Joan has been playing, singing and composing music but also doing some of the same with some very talented musicians and especially lately with "Nevada Bret" Jensen, an amazing guitarist / songwriter / singer, who wrote and sang together the song "Heartbeat" in the film starring Gerard Butler from "300" and Academy Award winning actress Hillary Swank's movie "P.S. I Love You" . It's one of those tear jerker movies that makes one glad to be alive and with that certain special someone in one's life. :-)
She has toured with Cheap Trick, Fastball, SEAL, and Ziggy Marley as well as performed in two Lilith Faire tours.
Joan's music has also been heard on the MTV shows "The Real World", "Road Rules", the WB's "Felicity", "Popular", and "Jack & Jill", and many more shows.
Joan Jones works in the greater Los Angeles area.
